Moreover, the drive is a choice place for a personal development guru to tune out the noise and focus on growth with a good audio book. It reminds me of a 11th step AA meeting I used to attend in my addiction recovery days. We called it the “God meeting” after the11th step. Improving our contact with a higher power was the goal!
So, what do the best motivational audio books and an 11th step AA meeting have in common? So, you could basically place Think and Grow Rich on any “best of” or personal development book list and it would be a win! I have Napoleon Hill’s classic on my Best Positive Mindset Books list and audio library as well. This motivational, self-help book was originally published in 1937, after the great depression. The author “contends that our thoughts become our reality”, so what must we do? Well, changing our thoughts, establishing goals and positive affirmations are key to creating the reality you want. It’s mind-blowing (pun intended) how powerful the mind is and how critical our thoughts are to either making or breaking the future. And check out this article on the Best Books for Overthinking! It totally goes hand in hand with that oh-so-important mindset.

Best Motivational Audio Books: The Secret

Unlike most movies, or documentaries in the case, typically you’ll see the book hit the shelves before it hits the big screen. Not so with the next title on this list of the Best Motivational Audio Books. The Secret documentary was released in March of 2006 and Rhonda Byrne’s international best-seller was released later that year. The audio book proposes a concept called the “Law of Attraction”. Consequently, at the heart of this notion is the belief that one can alter the direction of their life through thought. Sounds pretty powerful, right? Self-talk, positive or negative, are at the heart of this idea and could absolutely send you in either an upward or downward trajectory. Someone, somewhere once said, “change your thoughts, change your life”. This absolutely aligns with the motivational message of The Secret.
Payoff: The Hidden Logic That Shapes Our Motivations

After doing some research on the author of Payoff, Dan Ariely seems to be an expert on human behavior. With advanced degrees in business and cognitive psychology, he poses that motivation is “far more complex than we ever imagined”. However, the purpose of this self-help, personal development book goes deeper than simply working hard or getting out of bed in the morning. He seeks to understand human behaviors in a more general sense. The author seems to also approach the concept of motivation as an interpersonal dynamic and phenomenon. Understanding these concepts can help the reader better excel in life and leadership roles from simply understanding what makes people tick and drives them. Is it trust or lack of it? This concept is really interesting and should be considered for someone on a personal growth journey.
The Motivation Myth: How High Achievers Really Set Themselves Up to Win

What? The Motivation Myth? Well, supposedly the author Jeff Hadan took a swipe at the Godfather of Motivation: Tony Robbins! (gasp) Basically, he claims that most people have a misunderstanding of motivation. So, it’s not some jump starter that magically propels the personal development guru to super stardom. This Best Motivational Audio Book claims motivation is essentially the product of success. This self-help book focuses on the process rather than the end result. If we are focused on the end result, the day-to-day activities and essentials could be overlooked. Essentially, we must keep the long-term goals in mind without obsessing on them. Be in the moment and enjoy what you’re experiencing without overthinking too much. Coincidentally, this all makes me think about the positive mindset Legend Joe Dirt!
A Wrap Up to the Best Motivational audio Books!
Who loves talking about good reads and the best motivational audio books? I sure do. I was just listening to Think and Grow Rich today and it surely has a way of lighting a fire under you to get out there and live with more peace. As I’ve come to understand success and failures in life, it essentially comes down to mindset. Basically, we’re all a product of our thoughts. If you tell yourself something constantly, your mind will start to believe it; whether or not it’s actually true. However, as with any behavior, it takes consistent effort to flip it around for the better. Our thoughts that drive success, and in turn lead us to action, didn’t just spring up overnight. So, like the person who’s trying to get in shape must workout daily, changing those negative thoughts and mindset must be a daily endeavor.
What does your routine look like? Does staying motivated involve motivational audio books or some other content? Unfortunately, personal growth is a lifelong process. However, no one has it figured out perfectly yet. Professional athletes or artists have to put in the work just like everyone else. They’ve simply mastered the process of succeeding through years of discipline better than others. Is there something holding you back from becoming the best version of yourself? Possibly one of these best motivational audio books can provide some insight. I can tell you that they’ve definitely inspired me to be better and planted a resolve to keep fighting on! Thanks for being here my friends. Please share this content with someone you think could benefit from some encouragement.
